CEO and Physical Therapist

David is a passionate and dynamic physical therapist who truly embodies and believes in the art of movement. He believes in a holistic approach to treatment addressing the body as a whole unit in attempting to search for the cause of dysfunction rather than the symptom. He does not follow the classic “cookie cutter” approach to treatment but rather uses cutting edge assessment and treatment techniques to address each individuals’ goals. David partnered with Living Well Balanced to lead the company because of the shared identity when it comes to addressing patients goals. 

 

David hails from the beautiful city of Montreal, Quebec where he resided until graduating high school. He then attended Yeshiva University where he majored in Biology. During his time at Yeshiva University, David gradually became fascinated by the human body while becoming a TA in anatomy and decided to combine his love for helping people, anatomy and movement to pursue a career in physical therapy. During his time at Yeshiva, David also became a certified personal trainer and trained athletes and other students. 

 

After Yeshiva, David attended Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons where he obtained his DPT- Doctor of Physical Therapy where he pursued the orthopedic tract in his final year. While at Columbia, David interned at several prestigious  orthopedic and sports medicine clinics such as The Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma at Lenox Hill hospital and SPEAR Physical Therapy.  

 

David started his career at Metro Physical and Aquatic Therapy here he quickly rose to the title of Senior Physical Therapist. David treated a diverse patient population ranging from orthopedic and sports medicine patients, athletes, weekend warriors, neurological patients, geriatrics and post-operative cases.  

David then moved to Connecticut and started working at Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Specialists treating high level athletes, sports injuries and many complex post-operative cases. David recently left to join and partner with Living Well Balanced to provide a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. 

 

Over the past 10 years, David has obtained multiple certifications to further his clinical education. He is certified in SFMA level 1 and 2 which is the art of assessing functional movement patterns. He is certified in TPI level 1 which allows him to create specialized golf screens for golfers to prevent injury and improve their golf game. He then became certified in dry needling to apply on pain generating myofascial trigger points. He is also a member of the Orthopedic and Sports sections of the APTA to constantly stay current with all research and trends in the profession.
