Physical Therapist, PT DPT
Dr. Liz Opoka believes in every body’s innate ability to rejuvenate and rebuild after an injury, trauma, and breaking longstanding habits that are no longer useful. She employs a biopsychosocial approach, integrating body, mind and spirit into each of her sessions, so that your time here is all about YOU. By bringing awareness to the mind and connecting mind with body, Liz helps to facilitate healing via manual techniques, individualized exercise and getting to know what makes you come alive. She especially enjoys helping people with Parkinson’s with their mobility challenges and regain independence. Liz was awarded her doctorate in Physical Therapy from City University of New York’s Hunter College in 2013, has a masters in communication sciences from Fordham University, is LSVT trained for Parkinson’s, and is a registered yoga teacher and practitioner (RYT-200). She lives in Brooklyn, loves plants, music and good food and aspires to be a doggie-mom someday.
